Adds support for more Pioneer BDR-XD07 drives running firmware 1.06, including conversion to BDR-XD07U 1.04. Improves firmware collection for these drives.
beta.81Adds a Support development section on the Updates page and after a flash, opening a PayPal page where you choose your own amount. Contributions are voluntary and separate from flash licenses, which are unchanged.
beta.80BDR-212DBK drives on firmware 1.02 or 1.03 now convert to BDR-S12U 1.02.
beta.79Adds support for Pioneer BDR-212DBK firmware 1.02 and 1.03, BDR-212EBK firmware 1.05, BDR-XS07 firmware 1.01 and 1.04, BDR-XS07U firmware 1.04, and BDR-X12 firmware 1.04. Use Check to confirm support for your drive.
beta.78
Adds firmware surveys for Epson PR1EPDV 1.10 drives.
beta.77Clearer power-cycle instructions for internal and USB-connected drives. BDR-213M 1.05 now needs only one power cycle before preparation, provided no survey or other drive tool is used before flashing. Saved-session instructions explain how to continue after shutting down the computer.
beta.76Adds six new conversions: Epson BDE-PR1EP 1.00 and 2.01, Pioneer BDR-WX1DM 1.00 and BDX-PR1ML 1.05 to BDR-211M 1.53; BDR-PR1AME 1.06 to BDR-PR1ML 1.30; and BDR-212BK 1.00 to BDR-212U 1.05. These routes are new and not yet confirmed on real drives, so the app treats them as experimental.
beta.75Surveys on the Epson PP-100 (SXLT) drive can now read two small firmware samples with your consent, as a first step toward supporting it. The drive is identified only; no conversion is offered yet.
beta.74Check and surveys now identify Pioneer-built drives sold under another name, such as the Epson PP-100 (SXLT) and ASUS BW-16D1X-U, so their platform details reach us for research. These drives are identified only; no conversion is offered for them yet.
beta.73
Improves XD08 completion checks while the drive is still becoming ready. Attempts that may have changed firmware require support review before a retry. Clarifies when a previous attempt has been cleared for a fresh preparation.
beta.72Adds a Check again button after a check, a stop or a finished flash, so the same drive can be re-read with one click instead of choosing it again.
beta.71Improves downgrading supported Pioneer BDR-XD08 drives from firmware 1.02, with an additional firmware check before continuing. The website now explains flash licenses and free survey access more clearly.
beta.70Adds support for downgrading supported Pioneer BDR-S12 drives from firmware 1.04 to 1.02 and running survey checks on them.
beta.69Adds eight more Pioneer routes (S13JX 1.05 to 1.02, 212M 1.04, 209M 1.54, XD07 1.04 and XD05 3.10 variants), fixes the stock XD08 post-entry identity check, lets Check list drives without a key, and shows an optional $5 development support link after a flash on a free key.
beta.68When a BDR-XD08 flash stops at the identity check right after the drive enters update mode, the stop message now names what the drive answered (never its serial), so a stopped attempt gives us what we need to fix the route.
beta.67Check your drive without a key: the app now lists your drives and reads the model and firmware before you have any key, so you can see whether a conversion exists first. Surveys and flashing still need a key.
beta.66The free key for drive surveys is now called a survey key in the app, on the website and in emails. Nothing changes for existing keys.
beta.65Source firmware capture before a write and the read-back after it no longer pause between reads, cutting several minutes from S12U, 209M, 211, XD07 and XD05 flashes.
beta.64BDR-213M and BDR-S13U routes now send the main firmware in 32 KiB packets, so those flashes finish in a few minutes instead of eight or more.
beta.63Firmware surveys now run on more BDR-211M units: the 1.54 and 1.53 builds that previously stopped at the first firmware read are recognised exactly and use the same reviewed read method as the other 211M drives.
beta.62New experimental route: BDR-S13U drives on firmware 1.05 can be flashed back to firmware 1.02, the same family method as the BDR-213 conversion. Buyers see the experimental notice; the first supervised conversion is still to come.
beta.61
Pioneer BDR-XD08 conversion is now available, including firmware 1.02. Keep the app open until the conversion finishes, then power-cycle the drive when asked.
beta.60If a flash stops after the new firmware has been sent (for example when the drive restarts itself at the end), the app now offers Verify and checks the result automatically on X13 and the other standard drives, instead of asking you to contact support.
beta.59Removed the leftover experimental warnings shown before flashing BDR-212, BDR-213 and XD08 drives. Every supported drive now gets the same plain risk confirmation, and the website's verified checkmark shows which conversions have been done on a real drive.
beta.58The app now connects to api.trev.bot for activation, updates and firmware. Nothing changes for you: earlier versions keep working and update as usual.
beta.57Much faster flashing for BDR-S12U, BDR-209M, BDR-211 and BDR-XD07: the main firmware now goes to the drive in 32 KB packets, the same size Pioneer's own updater uses, instead of 256-byte ones. The app checks that your USB adapter or internal drive controller accepts 32 KB transfers before it writes anything.
beta.56Research surveys for BDR-S13U 1.05 drives are available again.
beta.55A finished flash is now recognised when the drive restarts itself at the end, instead of stopping with "unclassified sense". Every conversion now has the same single risk confirmation: no separate experimental warning, experimental acknowledgement or report-first step.
beta.54Prepare no longer refuses a drive whose earlier attempt stopped before anything was written. The app confirms the stop with trev.bot and clears it automatically, on every route.
beta.53If an earlier attempt stopped before anything was written, Check now confirms that with trev.bot and clears it, so Prepare works again. Previously some drives, such as the BDR-X13, passed Check but Prepare refused with "This drive already has a write attempt".
beta.52BDR-X13 1.03 and 1.04 conversions no longer stop at "Source main fingerprint read failed or changed" when Write follows Prepare. The app now renews the drive's temporary read access before its pre-write check. Nothing was written in the stopped attempts.
beta.51New experimental route: BDR-212BK 1.04 drives can now be converted to BDR-212U 1.05.
beta.50
New experimental route: BDR-209M 1.55 drives with the firmware build dated 23/02/03 can now be converted to BDR-211M 1.53, alongside the existing 23/02/16 build. The route ships paused until the first supervised conversion. The customer portal now names the drive and firmware for every purchase instead of showing a generic label.
beta.49BDR-X13 1.04 conversions no longer stop at "Source main fingerprint read failed or changed". The app compared the drive's firmware against the wrong 164-byte window of the 1.04 original; the check now uses the same window it reads from the drive, so a genuine 1.04 drive passes it.
beta.48ASUS conversions now recognise drives that keep their own ASUS name inside the new firmware identity, so the main firmware step no longer stops on them. Prepare and Write no longer require your USB drive to be the only optical drive in the PC. Other drives can stay connected; the app stays locked to the drive you selected.
beta.47The retro look is now a full keygen-style intro with a new chiptune, and the famous code works on any page. While it is on, a small panel in the bottom-right corner mutes the music or turns the look off.
beta.46Adds the ASUS SBW-06D2X-U 1.11 conversion for the newer 1.11 kernel, using the same method as the confirmed SBW-06D5H-U E102 conversion.
beta.45Flashing no longer fails when your computer's clock is wrong. The trev.bot service checks timing instead. A flash purchase covers one conversion on one drive, whichever supported model you check. If an earlier attempt stopped before anything was written, trev.bot now clears it automatically when you check the drive again.
beta.44If a previous conversion attempt stopped before anything was written, the app now says so and offers Start fresh, including for ASUS drives stopped at the read-only kernel check. When a previous attempt needs review, the app offers Save support report instead of a dead end.
beta.43Improved preparation and firmware verification for ASUS SBW-06D5H-U E102 conversions.
beta.42A new look for the flash screens: a 3D drive view follows each step, and the upload line shows real progress reported by the drive. When a write reaches its final step, the app counts down and checks the installed firmware for you. It never runs two checks at once. The steps now read Check, Prepare, Confirm, Flash and Done, and the hold-to-flash button stays in view while you finish the checks. After a successful flash, Check another drive comes first. A stop before programming offers Check another drive and Save support report. The Key page leads with pasting your key. Old-school keygen fans: try a famous code there.
beta.41App keys no longer expire (free beta write keys last 90 days). After a successful flash with a free beta key, the app offers an optional way to support development. Key emails and the admin console are updated for the single trev.bot flash app.
beta.40Clearer results: every stop now says what happened, whether your drive is safe, and where it stopped. Copy support summary puts the details in one message. The Activity page shows the last result at the top. Drives without a conversion say "Not supported yet" and explain how Analyze drive helps.
beta.39A successful flash is no longer reported as "verification incomplete" when the drive restarts right after its final step. If the final check does not finish, the app now verifies the installed firmware automatically (read-only). ASUS SBW-06D2X-U 1.11 checks its firmware before entering update mode. Write sessions now send a short technical log (no firmware or serials) to help support.
beta.38
An eligible attempt that stopped during identification, before any firmware write, can now be reviewed and released with Start fresh. After release, check the drive again and complete a new Prepare and Write. Other interrupted attempts still require verification or owner review.
beta.37Fixes an incorrect validation failure on some Windows storage connections. Adds stronger write safeguards, clearer completion progress, and improved drive surveys.
beta.36Test build with stronger write checks and improved drive surveys.
beta.35
Improved drive checks and firmware reads.
beta.34Improved drive checks and firmware reads.
beta.33Expanded drive support.
beta.32Fixed drive analysis stopping before trying another supported read method. UI improvements.
beta.31Improved drive analysis for Pioneer-based ASUS SBW-06D2X-U and SBW-06D5H-U drives. Experimental firmware collection is now available for matching variants. Drive analysis can try another supported read method when a collection step is unavailable, and keeps any firmware data it successfully collects. Some drives may still provide only partial data. An active key and internet connection are required for drive operations. Keep the app open until any pending research upload is confirmed.
beta.30
Experimental firmware collection is now available for BDR-S11JX 1.53 and BDR-S13U 1.03. Follow the consent and power reconnection prompts in the app. If the drive declines a collection step, the app stops that attempt. These additions support drive research. They do not add new flashing conversions. An active key and internet connection are required for drive operations. Keep the app open until any pending research upload is confirmed.
beta.29You can now open a purchase offer for any conversion currently available for your connected drive. The app checks the drive again before opening the offer. After payment, claim your key using the email address from checkout and enter it on the Key page. The key is limited to the checked drive and this app installation. Experimental conversions are clearly marked before purchase. They have had limited testing and may fail or leave the drive unusable. You must acknowledge this risk before buying and again before preparing or writing. An active key and internet connection remain required for drive operations. Keep the drive powered and connected throughout any firmware update, and follow the app's verification instructions afterward.
beta.28You can check a matching BDR-X13 drive in the app and open its purchase offer. The app checks the connected drive before showing the offer. After payment, claim your key using the email address from checkout and enter it on the Key page. That key is limited to the checked drive and this app installation. Drive analysis now gives clearer collection and upload results. It tells you when firmware data was collected, when a read stopped, and whether an upload is confirmed or still pending. Keep the app open if an upload is pending. An active key and internet connection remain required for drive operations. Keep the drive powered and connected throughout any firmware update, and follow the app's verification instructions afterward.
beta.27An active beta key and an internet connection are now required to check a drive, run analysis, prepare, flash, or verify. Enter your existing key on the Key page. Expired or revoked access stops new device operations. An operation already in progress is allowed to finish. Research keys continue to support drive checks and analysis. Flashing requires flashing access. Pending research uploads continue retrying automatically. Corrected the display of labels and arrows in the app.
beta.26An active beta key and an internet connection are now required to check a drive, run analysis, prepare, flash, or verify. Enter your existing key on the Key page. Expired or revoked access stops new device operations. An operation already in progress is allowed to finish. Research keys continue to support drive checks and analysis. Flashing requires flashing access. Pending research uploads continue retrying automatically.
beta.25A redesigned app guides you through checking, preparing, and flashing your drive, with clearer progress and a press-and-hold flash confirmation. Research surveys now show failures beside the capture button and identify conflicting drive apps. A stopped attempt requires a fresh preview before you try again. Pending uploads continue retrying automatically. Read-only identification no longer blocks just because another drive tool is open. Close other drive tools before running a firmware survey or preparing a flash. App data now uses the trev.bot folder. Existing keys, saved sessions and pending uploads are preserved.
beta.24Experimental BDR-212 conversions are now available for matching 1.04 drives. Check your drive in the app to see whether yours qualifies. This conversion has not yet completed a flash trial in this app. It can leave a drive unusable, and recovery is not guaranteed. Separate risk confirmation is required before preparation and flashing. After a completed flash, the app checks the returned firmware version and drive identity. Please verify the result in MakeMKV.
beta.23Experimental XD08 conversions are now available for matching 1.00 and 1.01 drives. Check your drive in the app to see whether yours qualifies. These conversions have not yet completed a flash trial in this app. They can leave a drive unusable, and recovery is not guaranteed. Separate risk confirmation is required before preparation and flashing. After a completed flash, the app checks the returned drive identity and asks you to verify the result in MakeMKV. A full firmware readback remains a separate check.
beta.22Update checks now recover more reliably after an offline startup and run when you return to the app or reconnect. The Updates page shows when the last check succeeded. Previously found updates stay visible if a check fails, and interrupted downloads can be retried. Downloads and restarts remain your choice; checks wait while a drive operation is running.
beta.21Added an experimental firmware-data collection method for supported BDR-209M 1.55 drives. Results upload automatically after analysis. Follow the app's reconnect instructions afterward. Includes the clearer flash-completion messages and improved XD05 final checks from the previous update.
beta.20Clearer flash results: completed flashes now ask you to check your drive in MakeMKV. The app distinguishes a completed write from a final check that could not finish. Improved final checks for XD05 drives that take a little longer to become ready after flashing. Your existing access key, automatic uploads and available drive conversions continue to work.
beta.19The available firmware conversions list now follows current availability from the service. Withdrawn options disappear when availability refreshes. If availability cannot be checked, the app says so instead of showing an outdated list. Drive identification and analysis remain available. Includes the preparation fix for computers with multiple optical or virtual drives. Your existing access key and automatic uploads continue to work.
beta.18Fixed preparation stopping when another optical drive or virtual drive is connected. The app checks and uses the drive you selected. Your existing access key and automatic uploads continue to work.
beta.17Improved drive surveys can collect more firmware data on supported drives, with automatic follow-up checks and uploads. Preparation is faster for supported drives. Clearer survey messages explain what was collected and whether your upload has arrived. Improved BDR-211 completion checks recognize verified firmware after a successful downgrade. Update to this version before flashing a BDR-211. Your existing access key and automatic uploads continue to work. Windows downloads now include a verified publisher signature.
beta.16Survey results are easier to follow, with clear upload confirmation and guidance when a survey is incomplete. Fixes a problem that could prevent a drive survey from starting on some Windows computers. Your existing access key and automatic uploads continue to work.
beta.15Fixes a Windows drive-inventory timeout that could prevent a research survey from starting on some computers. Existing access keys, research surveys and automatic uploads continue to work. This update does not change flashing routes or firmware-read procedures.
beta.14
Clearer flash results: the app now distinguishes verified firmware, incomplete verification and stopped programming. Valid completion responses are handled more reliably, and a local report-saving problem no longer turns a verified result into a flash error. Update reminders: the app checks for updates when idle and shows an Update available prompt. You choose when to download and restart. Adds the exact XD05 3.11 / SAT8232 / ID35 conversion to XD06U 1.11, subject to the existing server access policy and device checks. Verification reports which firmware regions were checked. Existing access keys, research surveys and automatic uploads continue to work. BDR-211 flashing remains paused. Never repeat a flash to test a reporting fix; retain its saved session and support report.
beta.13More useful drive surveys: additional Pioneer variants can attempt firmware reads and automatically upload the results, including useful partial captures. Full reads continue only when the returned firmware passes the required structure checks. Surveys can be run again on the same drive. Experimental reads still require your acknowledgment and stop on the first failure. XD05 ID35 captures now verify the previously collected kernel and main prefix before reading the missing section. Existing keys and automatic upload retries continue to work. Flashing availability and limits are unchanged; BDR-211 flashing remains paused.
beta.12
UD03 flashing is available again. Fixed a completion-check error caused by two zero padding bytes in a valid Windows drive-status response. The app now continues its existing bounded completion checks and final firmware verification instead of stopping on that response. No changes to firmware payloads, transfer commands or retry rules. A previous interrupted operation must not be repeated just to test this update; retain its journal and use the original app version for its saved verification workflow. BDR-211 flashing remains paused. Existing keys, server-controlled route availability and automatic research survey uploads continue to work.
beta.11BDR-211 and UD03 flashing are temporarily paused while reported completion errors are reviewed. Identification and research surveys remain available. Verify an existing operation in the original app version used for that operation. Please update before preparing another drive. Flashing availability is now managed by the server. Future route pauses and resumptions take effect before new preparations and writes without another app update. New flashing implementations still require an update. This release includes the clearer screens, progress feedback and corrected support reports introduced in beta.9. The app now explains when a research-only key is the reason preparation is unavailable. Other enabled flashing routes remain available. Tester-specific names and Polish journal labels have been removed from new operation logs. Existing keys and automatic research uploads continue to work.
beta.10A clearer app from start to finish: simpler screens, easier update controls, and progress you can follow while moving between pages. Firmware results now explain what was verified and when an operation needs review. Support reports capture the latest operation instead of an earlier preparation step. Drive support is unchanged from beta.8. Existing keys, automatic research uploads, and licensed firmware downloads continue to work.
beta.9UD03 support is here: compatible BDR-UD03 1.14 drives can now prepare, flash to UD04 firmware, and verify the result in the main app. The app checks the connected drive and downloads the exact firmware files when needed. This update also adds research capture for the matching BDR-212M 1.00 variant and improves XD07 completion handling after a drive restart. Research surveys continue to upload automatically, with retry after connection problems. Existing research-only keys still work for surveys; flashing requires flashing access. Get everything through the same private app and updater.
beta.8A new experimental research probe is available for the observed Pioneer BDR-UD03 1.14 / SAT8511 / GENERAL identity dated 20/06/15 with its exact vendor date suffix. Other UD03 identities and ASUS aliases are not included. After the standard capability survey, this probe can try two fixed 256-byte candidate firmware-prefix reads. It requires the experimental-read notice to be accepted and stops at the first refusal or unexpected response. No access unlock, firmware write, reset, retry or full dump is attempted. The drive may become unresponsive; disconnect and reconnect its power if needed. Both refused-read diagnostics and available incomplete bytes upload automatically, with encrypted retry after delivery failures. A successful probe is research evidence, not a complete firmware backup or UD03 flashing support. The eight existing flashing routes, research-only keys and private updater remain available. Firmware continues to download only when needed and is not bundled in this installer.
beta.7
More experimental flashing routes are available: exact S12U 1.04/1.05 (SAT8F01, ID43) to kernel 1.00 / main 1.02, and BDR-211M 1.54 (SAT8800 or SAT8801, ID60) to the matching 1.53 pair. Other identities are not included. These new routes still need physical conversion, cold-boot and disc validation. XD07 and the new desktop routes now verify the complete installed kernel and main firmware. Preparation checks the exact source, saves code snapshots, and obtains verified firmware through licensed downloads. Cold-start confirmation, exact serial confirmation and one-attempt protections remain required. Code snapshots are not a complete device backup; recovery and unit-record preservation are not guaranteed. Automatic research upload, encrypted retry, broader capability surveys and research-only keys continue to work. Research-only access cannot flash. Firmware is downloaded when needed and is not bundled in this installer.
beta.6Research results now upload automatically using your existing app access. Failed deliveries stay encrypted and retry on startup and while the app is open. A confirmed server receipt clears the local capture copy. Drives without an exact firmware capture policy now receive a bounded standard capability survey, with follow-ups selected from their advertised features. Results describe findings and remaining research questions. Existing exact firmware capture policies and the selected XD05 ID35 trial remain available. Device probes never retry automatically. This release adds no new firmware writer.
beta.5Research surveys join the main application, with a local evidence ZIP and explicit experimental access for selected testers. Firmware is downloaded and verified for the selected flashing route instead of being bundled in the installer. Research-only application access is separate from flashing permission. Beta release notices and private signed updates keep this application current. The existing four flashing routes remain the only enabled write routes. Research results do not enable a new writer.
beta.4
