How can I tell my flash worked?
The app tells you. When it says Flash complete, the new firmware was written, and the message under it says how far the app’s final check went. Either way, test the drive with your discs. Don’t repeat the flash.
Flash complete
The app shows the drive, the change from your old firmware to the new one, and what to do next. If the final check finished, it says the firmware passed its checks. If the drive restarted before the check could finish, it says that instead. Test the drive with your discs either way. You can save a support report for your records.
If the app asks for a check
Some drives restart themselves at the end of a flash, so a final check may still be needed. Keep the drive powered and connected and follow what the app shows: it may ask you to reconnect the drive or check the saved session, which reads the drive again without writing anything. Don’t repeat the flash.
If something doesn’t look right
If the final check doesn’t pass, or your discs don’t read as you expect, save the support report and email help@trev.bot with it.
