OpenRipper
Automatically rip your DVDs and Blu-ray discs to your own storage. OpenRipper runs on your computer, with a web dashboard to follow each drive and job.
What it is
- Free and open source under the MIT license, from the maker of trev.bot flash.
- Early development: expect rough edges.
- Runs on your own machine: a Docker deployment on Linux, or launchers for Windows.
- Uses MakeMKV to read discs. MakeMKV has its own license.
- Organizes movies and TV into separate folders. You can turn automation off and start each rip yourself.
OpenRipper and trev.bot flash
They’re separate. trev.bot flash puts compatible firmware on your drive; OpenRipper rips the discs you put in it. You don’t need one to use the other, and OpenRipper doesn’t need a flash license.
Use OpenRipper only with discs you’re permitted to copy.
Getting started
