Flash your Pioneer drive to read UHD discs
Pioneer firmware updates from December 2022 onward stop ripping software from reading UHD Blu-ray discs on many drives (MakeMKV’s developer explains why), and some owners report read errors too. trev.bot flash puts compatible firmware on supported drives. Download it from this site, check your drive and flash: no emailing or messaging anyone for files.
Check your drive in the app
Connect your drive and run the free check. The app reads its exact model and firmware, including supported Pioneer-built drives sold under other brands, and shows the options currently available for that drive.
No purchase or activation code is needed to check. Check before buying a flash license.
Crossflash or downgrade
The app picks the right change for your model. A downgrade installs an earlier firmware for the same model. A crossflash installs firmware from a compatible sister model, usually its “U” version. Where more than one firmware is supported, as on the BDR-212DBK, you can pick another from a short list or keep the recommendation.
Flash license
Check your drive before buying trev.bot flash. Enter your activation code on the app’s Activation page to enable flashing. See pricing.
Caution
Firmware changes carry risk, and no check can rule out a failure. Read the precautions.
